In 2015, I decided to dig into the albums of my birth year — 1972 — to see what music was released around the same time I was. I ended up counting down my five favorite 1972 albums and exploring ten others with which I wasn’t very familiar.

That idea blossomed into the Decades project, through which I’ll eventually cover 15-25 important albums from every year between 1970-2009. So far, I’ve made it through the first six or seven years of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s. Once I close out those decades, I have the 60s and 2010s on my horizon.
