As part of my Decades project, I counted down my own favorite albums of the year then explored other notable releases with which I was less familiar.
The year 1974 proved to be a real blind spot for me, so much so that I passed on counting down my own favorites because I didn’t know any of these records well enough. I did dig into some of these albums in later years, especially during deep dives of Jackson Browne and Joni Mitchell.
