As part of my Decades project, I counted down my own favorite albums of the year then explored other notable releases with which I was less familiar.

The year 1994 is one of the most eclectic in this series, with grunge, punk, alternative, hip-hop, roots rock, soft rock, prog rock, and Britpop all having their moment.
