I did a Phoebe Bridgers Deep Dive in anticipation of this album and ended up falling in love with her earlier work — particularly the two solo records that preceded this one.

Lost Weekend is a more ambitious and artsy album than Stranger in the Alps and Punisher, a poignant exploration of grief and new beginnings. I don’t rate it as highly as the earlier work (which, to be fair, I’ve heard far more often) but it’s another brilliant work by a startlingly talented artist.
