I originally planned to post a new Fiona Apple song today called ‘Container,’ which plays over the opening credits of Showtime’s The Affair. But when I found the clip on YouTube, it didn’t have any sound.
That happens occasionally, when a publishing company doesn’t want a track on the web… rather than pull the clip down they just strip it of its audio, so you’re left with a silent movie — and a ghost of the song that once played over it.
