Post Malone has become quite the hitmaker since dropping his debut album six years ago. The rapper/singer has had four #1 hits in that time, and another seven in the top ten.
His latest is ‘I Like You (A Happier Song),’ the third single from his Twelve Carat Toothache album. This breezy track, a duet with Doja Cat, peaked at #9 and this week sits at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100.
It’s hard not to like Post Malone’s overall energy, and this song is a great example of how that likability can make a simple song feel like a cool balm during these hot summer days.
It doesn’t hurt to have Doja Cat along for the ride. She doesn’t have a ton to do here, but she is a natural playing the object of anyone’s affection. Can’t complain about her work in this video, either.
