Song of the Day #4,975: ‘Eulogy’ – Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein

The newly 16-year-old Fiona continues sharing her favorite orchestral pieces…

“Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein delivered a masterpiece in the second season of my favorite TV show, Stranger Things.

Played while Nancy is dealing with the loss of her best friend Barb, and the divide is growing between Eleven and Hopper, ‘Eulogy’ shifts the tone of the show with its minor chords and synth.

Even with its sad themes, this remains one of my favorite tracks.”

Not to quibble, but most of the chords are major, with one minor. Certainly, the sad haunting effect is there from the synth.

Just thought you should know in case you tried to play this on a keyboard.😁

This is definitely a haunting piece. Perfect for the scene you described

  3. Amy says:

The music in Stranger Things is great. I love when music becomes an essential part of a series.
