In the second spot of the Billboard Hot 100 this week is Lizzo’s ‘About Damn Time,’ which I featured a couple of weeks back. This is another song that can thank TikTok for its ascension.
Lizzo’s track has been on the chart for 13 weeks and (so far) peaked at #2. Perhaps she can nab her second #1 song (following ‘Truth Hurts’) if this one can climb one more spot in coming weeks.
In the third spot is a song that has already spent some time at #1, Jack Harlow’s ‘First Class.’
‘First Class’ is the rapper’s second #1 hit, following his feature on Lil Nas X’s ‘Industry Baby.’ This one he headlines himself, though it heavily samples Fergie’s ‘Glamorous.’
Harlow seems like a cool guy. I really liked his collaboration with Lil Nas X and the way those two worked the promotional trail together. This song is fine. Can’t say much more about it than that.

Meet Me In Montauk 
I’ve heard some Jack Harlow through Daniel, as he is a big fan. I do think he stands out in a sea of rather ubiquitous rappers.
Daniel wasn’t as thrilled with this album as his first one, but I enjoyed listening to it. Didn’t realize this song was on the charts, but I can see why it is. Catchy, for sure. 🙂
