I find the chorus of this song to be one of those that can get stuck in your head for days, though, like most ear worms or hooks, that can be both a blessing and a curse.
This song is alleged to have been written in Boston while they were in previews with the original Broadway production. I think it is one of the last (or maybe THE last) song that Oscar wrote with Dick before Oscar died. (Oscar dying is why Dick wrote two new songs by himself, music AND lyrics, for the movie version of TSOM). I agree that it can be quite an ear worm…
