For the first time in the eight years I’ve been blogging, a hurricane is hitting South Florida. I have a lot of experience with hurricanes, from Andrew in 2002 1992 to the quintet of storms that passed through my area in 2004-2005. And working in the media, I know how coverage of these events and their aftermath dominates my life for days and weeks.
So to buy myself some time away from blogging during this busy period, I’m going to punt this week and simply post five songs by artists named Matthew. See you on the other side!
[Note: Thankfully, the storm jogged to the east and spared my area almost entirely. However, I did miss a lot of blogging time at the end of the week, and I kind of like the batch of ‘Matthew” songs I stumbled upon, so I’m going to stick with the plan.]

I think you meant to say 1992 for Andrew.
Anyway, let’s hope it’s at least another 8 years before you need to take a week off from blogging to deal with a hurricane, and at that point, strictly for blog purposes, I hope the storm is named Ben or Lyle or some other artist I really like.😄
