Song of the Day #2,402: ‘Stevie Wonder Tribute’ – Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran & Gary Clark, Jr.

beyonce_stevieWhat better way to close out the week than with a 9-minute performance by Beyoncé from this week’s Stevie Wonder tribute show?

Queen B, joined by Ed Sheeran and Gary Clark, Jr., tore through ‘Fingertips,’ ‘Master Blaster’ (Jammin’)’ and ‘Higher Ground’ in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

Beyoncé is in full-on beast mode here, underlining the point commenter Amy made earlier in the week about how this woman doesn’t need anybody (least of all Kanye West) to stand up for her talent.

Watching this, I couldn’t help but feel a deep sadness for Stevie Wonder, who has absolutely no idea what Beyoncé looks like. On the other hand, maybe she’s let him feel her face.

Too funny! I wonder if Stevie does the Ray Charles trick of feeling the hands and wrist.

This was a great tribute and Beyonce was indeed in fine form in all ways.
