Song of the Day #1,667: ‘Glam’ – Christina Aguilera

christina_aguilera_bionicSome cruel twist of fate has offered up a second track from Christina Aguilera’s cringe-worthy Bionic album less than two weeks after the first.

Perhaps this is the Random iTunes Fairy giving me the opportunity to reveal that I did not pay money for this album. I’m not sure how exactly it came into my possession, but let me assure you that Ms. Aguilera received no financial compensation from me.

Song of the Day #1,666: ‘Cut the World’ – Antony and the Johnsons

Willem Dafoe plays a businessman who, it seems, had an affair with a co-worker and reacts by staring quietly out of his office window. They have a brief scene together, then we follow her back to her office… and I’ll let you watch the rest.

Song of the Day #1,664: ‘Cheerleader’ – St. Vincent

st_vincent_cheerleaderSt. Vincent showed up in my video round-up last year with ‘Cruel,’ a video in which she was kidnapped by a family, forced to serve them and then buried alive in the front yard.

This year she returns as a giant museum exhibit who breaks free from her bonds before literally falling to pieces.

I think the woman has some issues. Fortunately she’s working them out through compelling short films for our enjoyment.
