Song of the Day #2,893: ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling!’ – Justin Timberlake

timberlake_cant_stop_feelingJustin Timberlake returns to the Billboard charts with ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling!,’ currently sitting in the third spot on the Hot 100 (though it previously occupied the top spot).

This is Timberlake’s first song on the charts (or period, I believe) since early 2014. It was written for the Timberlake-produced animated film Trolls, in which he also appears as a voice actor.

Song of the Day #2,892: ‘Panda’ – Desiigner

desiigner_pandaIn Billboard’s #2 spot this week is ‘Panda’ by Desiigner, another case where at first I wasn’t sure which was the song title and which was the artist’s name.

wilco_sky_blue_skyHere’s an album I owe a second chance.

Wilco’s Sky Blue Sky was released in 2007, three years after the disappointing A Ghost is Born, and by that time I’d moved on.

2001’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was a ground-breaking masterwork following a handful of excellent releases, but Ghost stopped the band in their tracks. To be honest, I can’t say with any conviction that A Ghost is Born is a bad album. I just know it left me cold.
