Lucinda Williams’ ‘The Ghosts of Highway 20’ — a Track-by-Track Assessment

I’ve been a big Lucinda Williams’ fan since 1998’s Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, so this well-received 2016 album was a natural fit for a blind deep dive.

Williams’ vocals have gotten a bit more challenging over the past decade, and that’s a bit of an issue here, but on the whole this is a lovely, mournful work.
