I did a quick deep dive into the Hootie & the Blowfish discography in 2019, as the band was enjoying a resurgence in respect and popularity tied to the 25th anniversary of their blockbuster debut, Cracked Rear View.
I wasn’t surprised to find that their brand of earnest bar rock was consistently strong across all of their albums, even as fans jumped off the bandwagon and it was no longer cool to listen.
