As 2022 came to an end, I realized I was not prepared to write up a countdown of my favorite albums from the year.

For one thing, I was about to go on a two-week vacation, but even more important, I realized I just wasn’t keeping up with new music the way I used to.

Enter my nephew, professional musician and certified music lover Daniel Gallup, who was gracious enough to step in and provide a very detailed and entertaining recap of his own favorite 2022 albums.
