In a neat bit of confluence, the first day of 2014 coincides with my 2,000th Song of the Day post. Funny to think that’s been destined to be the case since I posted Song of the Day #1 on July 25, 2008, but I didn’t know it until now.
If you’d asked me to bet, on that July 25th, if I would end up posting 2,000 Songs of the Day, I definitely would have put my money on the under.
And yet here I am, still trucking along, shocked that this series has lasted longer than many marriages.
So on the dawn of 2014, I resolve to keep doing this, embarking on my third thousand starting tomorrow and not looking back. I thank my faithful readers for taking this journey with me.

And if you would have bet if I would be faithfully commenting each day 2000 posts later, even whilst (sorry, but when in England…) on vacation in foreign places, I would have taken the under as well, but here we are. So I will resolve in the new year to keep faithfully commenting as long as you continue to post.😄
