A fitting deviation from random weekends. I’m still in shock over Prince’s death.
My earliest memory of Prince goes back to about 1980. He was the only positive thing to come out of my one and only foray into sleep away camp at Camp Pinewood in North Carolina. I was generally miserable that summer, being away from home and an awkward nerdy guy amongst kids who had known each other for years. But I recall one of the kids having two of Prince’s early albums: Contoversy and Dirty Mind. I had never heard of Prince before. The music I was hearing was different, sexy, naughty, dangerous and provocative. I was immediately hooked.
Like most great artists, Prince matured, ultimately releasing one of my favorite album, Sign o’ the Times.

He will be missed.
it is very appropriate to showcase Prince and this performance today. He was so talented and died too young 😦
