Song of the Day #2,679: ‘Diamond Shoes’ – Tift Merritt

bramble_roseTift Merritt’s 2002 debut, Bramble Rose, is another album I discovered well after its release. I heard the singer-songwriter’s 2004 sophomore album, Tambourine, first.

Bramble Rose is one of two autographed albums in my collection. The other is also by Merritt, 2012’s Traveling Alone. I guess you could say she and I are tight.

#6 – Tift Merritt – See You On the Moon

The second Tift Merritt album on this list is her finest record yet, 2010’s See You On the Moon.

Song of the Day #2,143: ‘Still Not Home (Live)’ – Tift Merritt

tift_merritt_liveIt’s been about 10 months since I last featured a Tift Merritt song on the blog, so I figured she could use another plug.

It’s funny that I didn’t seriously consider any of Merritt’s individual songs for my desert island list, but if I were to make a list of desert island artists she would almost certainly make the cut.
