I forgot to mention yesterday that Taylor Swift’s ‘Style’ was at #6 on the Billboard chart. That’s the third single from 1989 to hit the top ten. Probably not the last.
At #8 is Hozier’s ‘Take Me to Church,’ still hanging in there after all these weeks.
And at #9 is ‘Time of Our Lives’ by Pitbull and Ne-Yo.
I was prepared to dislike ‘Timber,’ the #11 Billboard hit by Pitbull. I’ve never understood the appeal of Pitbull, though I can’t say I’ve tried very hard to do so.
But this is actually a pretty catchy, though lyrically obnoxious, song. The hoe-down spirit, driven by some inspired harmonica playing, mashes up well with the hip-hop party vibe.
