Continuing my coverage of the current Billboard Hot 100, I arrive at #11 and an entry from Andy Grammer, a name that’s new to me.
The picture on the right suggests a frat-guy Harry Connick Jr. vibe and Wikipedia describes his genre as pop rock and blue-eyed soul.
The lyrics to this track are cute, depicting the singer’s refusal to let temptation get the better of him when confronted by an attractive woman at a bar. Nice to see a song celebrating monogamy, even while acknowledging that the woman he’s refusing has “got that ass.”
