Song of the Day #1,553: ‘Baby, Let Me Follow You Down’ – Chloe Katerndahl

So I know what I like, and I hope the past couple of months have revealed some patterns that suggest why I like what I like.

That raises two more questions: 1) Why don’t I like other artists who are similar to the artists I like?; and 2) Who else might I like if give them a chance?

I spent awhile cross-referencing music websites, Googling different genres, following genealogical patterns on AllMusic.com, trying to come up with a list of artists who fall into the same genome combinations I’ve described this week.

Song of the Day #1,317: ‘Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright’ – Chloe Katerndahl

Theme weeks are a song-of-the-day blogger’s best friend. They allow you to come up with material in batches rather than piecing thoughts together one post at a time. I can knock out five theme posts in the time that it takes me to select and write a couple of standalones.

So I’m always on the lookout for a new theme week.

Recently I was thinking about how often I hear that somebody likes Bob Dylan’s songs but hates his voice so I decided to troll YouTube for Dylan covers. Specifically, Bob Dylan songs covered by cute girls. Now that sounds like a theme week.
