The headliner on Day Three of the anti-Trump 30 Days, 30 Songs project is a new name to me. Bhi Bhiman is a Missouri-born, San Francisco-based folk rock singer-songwriter who has released three studio albums over the past nine years.
He also posted this great acoustic cover of Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy’ to YouTube.
Next up in the 30 Days, 30 Songs project is Aimee Mann, with an anti-Trump song that seeks to understand how he wound up in this position to begin with.
Like many people, Mann believes that Trump doesn’t really want to be president, that he fell into this role almost by accident and certainly with no expectation that he could actually win the thing.
Well, here’s something cool.
Dave Eggers and Jordan Kurland have set up a website called 30 Days, 30 Songs — “written and recorded by artists for a Trump-free America.” The idea is to post a new anti-Trump song every day for a month leading up to the election.
The same pair created 90 Days, 90 Reasons four years ago, a site that offered up a new reason to re-elect Barack Obama each day for the three months before Election Day.
