In the #2 slot of this week’s Billboard Hot 100 is ‘I Had Some Help,’ a duet by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen. This song spent six weeks at #1 before being dethroned by Shaboozey, making it the year’s longest-running chart-topper so far.
Country music is really hitting its stride on the charts when one country song replaces another. The influx of more contemporary artists and sounds into the genre has been a recipe for crossover success.
Speaking of crossover success, Post Malone is really on a tear. This is his sixth #1 hit, giving him chart-toppers in the rap, rock, pop, and country genres. He’s also the only artist lucky enough to feature on both Beyoncé’s and Taylor Swift’s newest albums.
