This song, by the “indietronic” New York band +/- (pronounced plus/minus), appears on the soundtrack to the 2004 film Wicker Park. A co-worker gave me a copy of that soundtrack many years ago and it has languished in my iTunes library unheard until now.
Based on the YouTube comments of this (highly annoying and forgettable) song, a lot of people really like Wicker Park. More than a few YouTube commenters call it one of their favorite movies of all time.
I’ve never seen it. A look at the trailer reveals it’s an erotic thriller starring Josh Hartnett (meh) and Rose Byrne (yay!) in the Single White Female vein. The movie is a remake of the 1996 French film L’Appartement.
Based on its 29% Tomato ranking, I won’t be catching up with this movie anytime soon. So the occasional Random Weekend selection from its soundtrack will have to suffice.
Is think about you
I find the odd part of this post that a co-worker gave you a copy of the soundtrack to Wicker Park. Who was this coworker? Why did he or she have an extra copy? Why did he or she think you would be interested in this soundtrack from a movie you had never seen? I want answers!😜
