Song of the Day #5,974: ‘Mr. Crowley’ – Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne is the only two-time Hall of Famer in this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class, having previously been inducted as part of Black Sabbath. Osbourne has been eligible as a solo artist since 2006 and this was his first nomination.

Given that he has found more success as a solo artist than he did with Sabbath, this seems like an easy call. The hard rock wing of the Rock Hall wouldn’t be complete without Ozzy.

Song of the Day #4,906: ‘Crazy Train’ – Ozzy Osbourne

Today’s featured 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee is not Ozzy Osbourne. He has yet to be inducted as a solo artist, though he was inducted with Black Sabbath in 2006.

No, today’s highlighted artist is Randy Rhoads, the lead guitarist on this song and many other iconic heavy metal classics. Just listen to the fantastic riff on ‘Crazy Train’ and it’s hard to argue that the man responsible belongs in the Rock Hall.
