NetFlix has become the unofficial home of the romantic comedy, and I think that’s just great.

Would movies like Set It Up, Ali’s Wedding, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before or The Incredible Jessica James ever have found a home, let alone an audience, on the big screen? And do they really need to? I’d argue these movies play even better while cuddled on the couch with a bowl of microwave popcorn.

Yes, the platform is also responsible for the horrific The Kissing Booth, but I’ll let that one slide.
