The train of thought comes to a stop with another Spike Jonze video, this time for Fatboy Slim’s ‘Weapon of Choice.’ This has to be one of the best videos ever made, because Christopher Walken is a golden god.

Techno is another genre in which I have little interest. I’ve muddled through albums by Fatboy Slim and Moby, but they aren’t the sort of thing I can just sit down and listen to. Some music is perfect background noise… a jazz quartet in a downtown bar, a techno soundtrack in a crowded nightclub. But the thought of paying dedicated attention to a complete jazz or techno album doesn’t appeal to me at all.

But back to the video. This clip was a sensation for a brief spell in 2001. It won a slew of MTV Video Awards and a Grammy and introduced Christopher Walken to a whole new generation. Enjoy.
