Also, the pauses (a personal favorite of Amy’s) work fantastically in this song.

That’s the tricky part, isn’t it? What makes music seductive? :) But, yes, not just his voice, but especially his delivery is what sells the song. Though I do think the lyrics themselves work quite well. Just looking at the way the words fill the screen reminds me far more of a poem than a typical song lyric – “So slide over here/
And give me a moment/
Your moves are so raw/
I’ve got to let you know…
You’re one of my kind”

Pure poetry, baby! That line (delivered by the right person) would work on anyone :)
